have a chance to get a 98 v6, auto, ranger,long bed,reg cab for $3700, body in great shape and has only 55000 miles .is this a good deal and what problem areas are on the rangers? thanks

Sounds like a good deal to me. I can't say I've had any problems with my Ranger.
I think some folks have problems when they think they can use their little truck (Ranger) as if it was a F150....... a Ranger IS a little truck. I wouldn't recommend doing any serious towing or hauling with it, regardless of what the door tag GVWR says it can do.... If you need to haul stuff, then step up to a full size truck. Good Luck!
