What are they talking about?

-- The application will be for a weekend use street and mud-boggin' 4X4. Is this a 'hard core' unit or a good improvement over an OEM converter?

Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance!

That's a heavy steel plate that gets welded to the front of the convertor to retard balooning of the torque convertor on a drag car when they are holding it at a high rpm with a trans brake. Street cars rarely use them.

I know what you mean, N266Fords,,,,, It's hard enough having to end a marriage let alone split up and get rid of 'all of your everything' that both of you have accumulated over the years.

Nevertheless - realize that it is only 'stuff' and you will start to gather 'stuff' again soon & know that after all of the "division crap" is done you WILL find another gal that wants to be called your Sweetie!

Hang in there!
