Ok, so last night I find out that I have a burned out bulb. No biggy, hit the AutoZone and buy a new set. I installed it in the parking lot at 10pm. When I pulled out the old one I notices that most of the glss is missing. I thought it was weird but installed the new one. When I get home the bulb is out again. I checked it this morning and its busted like the old one. What could be doing this? There is moisture in the headlight pod. Could that do it or is there a bigger problem?------------------ Dustin C "The Mopar Guy!" Did you touch the bulb with your bare fingers? Halogen bulbs and the oil in the finger prints do not get along together. EDIT: Bronco IIs have the sealed beam type halogen bulbs, where the whole lamp gets replaced don't they? I guess touching them won't matter. If you have to twist in the bulb from behind the lamp, maybe you did get a finger print on it. ------------------ -Paul

Nope, not a sealed beam. Just a small bulb put in from the back. I did touch it, but tried not to. I will put in the 3rd one today, with gloves on and try it.------------------ Dustin C "The Mopar Guy!" If you get anything on those they will burn up. It makes a hotspot on the bulb. If I do get something on them,I clean them with a clean tissue and alcohol. I just use a new paper towel or tissue when I put those in.------------------ Some assembly required.

It was the moisture in the headlight pod killing them. I have a new pod on the way, so hopefully it will be fixed.------------------ Dustin C "The Mopar Guy!"
