I own a '99 power stroke diesel and am looking for some feedback on after market downpipes and exhaust systems that claim improvements in power & fuel mileage.

I've sure thought about doing something along that line.

One of the mail order places had a turbo back system for around 5 bills. That would have to include a downpipe, I'd think.

I also talked to a guy recently that has his transmissions redone and he says adds 3 MPG due to rollerized stuff and less drag. The shop is in Arkansas. The trannie job is guaranteed to hold any amount of horsepower regardless, even with propane power adders.

The big drawback is the cost.....$3500.

This local guy has a 5 inch exhaust on his. Too cool!

This shop also does hop ups. I've got his card if you want to call him. Shoot me an email.

Dad,Bully Dog has a web sight I think the get about $195.00 for a new downpipe(aluminumized). There's a guy north of Dixon who does the truck mods and claims big power gains w/a free flowing downpipe.BTW We were in St Lous for the WFC and while shopping the tents on the midway I ran across PDQ Performanc Warehouse and ended buying a Diablosport Predator...a tunable performance programmer. This has four programs in it 40,60,80,100 hp choices plus a fith one that you can build your self.I chose the 60 horse program which is economy/tow with no exhauts mod needed...it kicks a$$.
