Just bought a new (to me) truck today. An 81 F-100 long bed 2wd. Originally a straight 6 with a manny tranny, now it's a 460 (30 over) with a c6. It scoots pretty good.

It was put together by a mechanic who wanted to pull a camper, but when he finished it, he found a newer truck that he couldn't live without I guess.

The truck is in overall great shape, but I'm planning on swapping the 460/c6 into my 68 and putting the 81 back together for a good everyday driver.

Best of all, the old lady approves.

My Chebbie buddy is gonna ride my A&& until I get the 68 on the road, so I'm hoping to get it together and on the road this summer.

You know, it's funny, I drove the truck around today and it's got a lot of power, but I'm already looking at parts to make it faster.

Joe thats the way it should be. Always look for more power. My work truck has a 460 in it. Those motors have lots of low end power.
