.........At new trucks. Why in the he** did I stop and look??
The new F150 is really nice, I want one.
Reasonably equipped XLT with 4.6 and auto, regular cab is 25K, super cab is 28K, 4 door is 30K.

My Ranger is having a tough time pulling a trailer with 2 fourwheelers on it. Four cylinder is great on gas though, 27 to 30 mpg.

I don't know if I want the extra debt right now, decisions decisions....

The cure is to keep the sales brochures handy until you get sick of looking at them...

Okay, online pricing from Cars Direct....
Regular cab, 21,800
Super cab, 25,000
Crew cab, 27,300
They also had a STX version, it was a 4.6 with auto, priced at 19,890. I am going to another dealer today to see what it looks like.

I don't think the difference in price is worth it for the Super or Crew cabs, 90% of the time I am riding by myself. They had a red crew cab that sure was sharp though.

It looks like I owe more than my Ranger will sell for, upside down $$ wise.
Anyone interested in a 2002 Ranger??

A bit of advice. IMHO look at getting the 5.4 engine instead of the 4.6. In real world driving the milage is almost identical and you'll be much happier with the extra power.

There is a noticeable difference in power with the 4.6 and it has to work harder than the 5.4, so the mileage gets hurt.

Looks like the 5.4 is about $700 more, probably well worth the difference.

Yeah, 4.6 is too little.

Hell, 5.4 is too little!

You definitely need to go with the 5.4. The 4.6 just doesn't develop enough torque to get the truck moving. Plus I think the 5.4's have the new 3V per cylinder technology and that is really cool

I tried a new supercab 4X4 a couple of months ago,and liked it. I think it felt alot bigger than my truck. It had a gvw of 8400#,IIRC. That's alot for a half ton. My truck now is 6000#.

I relly need (okay WANT) a full size truck.
Kinda waiting to see if we do the Christian school for our daughter, that would kill out any extra funds for a new truck. Daughter comes first.

Kinda thought about buying an older F150, 1996 or older with 351 and keeping the Ranger. KK, KV, know where I can find a Lightning at??
