Nothing now If it's not one thing it's another Sometimes even the little things can get to you. Especially after they just add up. Take care of one thing, and something else goes... This time it was just the battery and my wife had the truck when it died. Now, i can't leave the store because of my position, the father in law is in Tampa, my dad has his cell turned off (or was in the freezers at work) so no one to the rescue!! So she walked home. So at the point I am fed up with this truck. But I can't get rid of it yet either...(getting a super duty, but I made a deal with the myself not to buy it until all my other unnecessary bills are paid off). So...stupid truck

Can't drive them all forever without doing some work on them. I had to put some parts in mine last week. I changed the rear u-joints,the passenger side balljoints, all the steering linkage and a front axle u-joint on the drivers' side. It was bound up so bad that the axle was straight, and the wheel wouldn't steer. I also have a todo list, like shocks, oilpan, the other front axle u-joints,an exhaust manifold leak, and now a power steering screech. I really can't complain,I put 93k on it,and just did light service, like 1 tuneup at 88k,brakes at 60k,and tires. everyone I know with GM trucks have done their engines, and the Dodges were trannys in this timeframe.{9 years} At least you can take your stuff apart. they use so much salt up here in the winter that all the fasteners are rounded off with rust,or break off. I had a plug break in the head last fall, and we had to use a screw extractor with a 1/2" impact to get it out. You bet everything goes back on with neverseize up here,or we use stainless bolts/lines/exhaust.

You want my to-do list I would go on for days.It just needs to last a little longer. I am happy that it has lasted for as long as it has with as little problems as it has had. But the only time it ever breaks down is when the wife is driving it. This truck came from Kansas (salt, anyone?) went to North Dakota (no salt, just sand) at the Minnesota Border (salt again), and then down to florida (sea spray anyone?). Who says it is easy to come apart? The salt spray coming off the bay tends to mess up the paint too. Just trying to concentrate efforts elsewhere and don't want to have to worry about the truck dying on my wife.

There's a thought!!But she can change the water pumps (or just about anything else really, she don't won't if she don't have to) I keep telling her I am not going to allow her to drive it when we finally get a superduty!!
