I have one of the old style Broncos, its a 75 with a 302 and c4. The engine was rebuilt about 6 years ago with an RV cam and runs a 600 holly on a performer intake. I dont drive it a whole lot, but it has always run very good up until about a week ago. I filled it up ith gas and drove it home and parked it. The next weekend I went to use it and it was extremly hard to start and ran terrible until warmed up. Even warmed up it runs bad with a hesitation just as you start to take off. If you put your foot in it a little it spark knocks badly, which it has never done. Would bad gas cause both of these symptons ( hesitation and knock) or do I have other issues going on.

No EGR. I worked on the carb this weekend and put a kit in it. It is a little better but still not right. The carb was leaking some fuel from the secondaries and that is fixed. Hesitation still there when you wing the gas. I didnt get a chance to drive it so I dont know yet about the knock.
