I have a friend who has a Harley truck. He put a K&N filter, Diablo sport chip, and a lower blower pulley onto it, along with Bassani headers, cat-back, and mufflers. I was doing some reading about boost bypass valves and was wondering if he should consider installing one. Anyone with some expierence or knowledge about these? Thanks!

I think you use those if the boost goes over a certain psi. that way,you won't be blowing out intake and head gaskets. I would do some research, since he changed a blower pulley, possibly raising the pressure.

The chip is enough. The boost bypass will only prevent 'boost-dump' after an over rev if the trasmission is shifted manually. Where the chip keeps all plugs firing during shifts. (That's if the Harley is rigged to shut down 2 cylinders during the 1-2 shift like the Lightning.) ------------------ -Paul 70 Mach1 351C 79 Ranchero GT 97 Expedition XLT 5.4 00 SVT f150 Lightning 4149 of 4966 Born on: 06/26/2000 'If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes.'
