Anyone know if the serpentine drive setup off a 302/5.0 would fit on a 351C? Would water pump have to be replaced with different one also? Are reverse rotation available for those? I am considering putting 351C I have from a Mustang into a 1997 Ranger (when dog-sled 6 cylinder poops out). I can get a rear drop pan from 77 400M, but I also want to keep A/C and newer alternator, etc. So, that means I have to have serpentine belt setup right? Or is there another way to do this? (I know I need different tranny also, but already have WC T5 and a small block C6, so I think that is covered one way or another...) Thanks, Mike H

I believe that this -swap kit- has two aluminum mounting plates which go to the front of each cylinder head to accept a later 5.0L serpentine system. This was available years ago but I thought it had been dropped. Contact them and see what the system is exactly and let us know what you find please.

You're welcome. If this is the same system, it was popular back in the eighties. There are two small aluminum plates mounted to the cylinder heads (one mounting hole had to be drilled on one head). It then accepts the 5.0L FEAD.

I surely hope this is the same or similiar system as it is nice to have a one belt drive.

They also offer a reverse rotation water pump for the 335 Series. I don't know if it is aluminum or not, but it would also be interesting to know which impeller they use so you can maybe upgrade an aluminum pump or if they could assemble one for you.

A nice set of MARCH aluminum pullies and you would really have something.

Thanks for the info! I had been on Kaufman site before and even had it on my favorites list, but didn't recall this stuff on there
(probably cuz listed under Mustang swap kit items, instead of Ranger V8 swap items...).
I tried twice to email them to see if those components are still available, but both times my email was returned. I don't know why. will try from home tonight and see....
