My truck (oh yes, same one) has developed a stuttering problem. I guess it has had it for some time, but since I barely drive it (shall we say my wife's truck) I didn't realize it. But anyways, during normal acceleration it will hesitate, jerk, stutter while going. It doesn't do it if I floor it, or when I am at speed. I thought it was water in the lines, so I changed the filter, and put in heet, and plan on doing so in the next couple of tanks as well, but are there any other things I should check out also? Or anything else you wonderful guys can think of?

I had a similar problem. It ended up that one of my plug wires had a bad boot on it and it was shorting. That should be a easy check and fix.------------------ 67 Coupe I-6, 3sp 289 and T-5 on the way

That's my answer too. I would take a good look at the ignition system. Even new wires can be bad sometimes. Start at the cap. Look for any slag under it at the terminals.

I'll check. We finally listed it for sale, even witht he problems. It was painful for me to do, but we've outgrown the truck.
