On my 56 F-100, my dad added a Camaro frontend. This makes for a very nice ride, was easier to lower, and front disc brakes, but I have a Chevy bolt pattern on the front. A few options would be to install a Chevy rearend, but I want a good rear(that this already has). Anyone know if I could use a Ford rotor on a Chevy spindel? Maybe from a Granada or Lincon? I ready want to have Ford steelies on all 4 corners(with Ford baby moons) and don't want to pay a super high price for custom rims.

Thanks.

You might be able to find spacers, with separate studs. I doubt you'll find Ford rotors that fixs gm. Ford has standards, you know.

I think I would measure the spindle assy at the balljoints, and see if I could swap a Ford knuckle in there. Maybe Granada? LTD II?

Redrilling the rotors is one option, but you must do it when the rotors need replacing.

The Camaro subframe swap is a popular one. And so are nine inch Ford rear ends. Several business that advertise in the "truck" magazines offer Camaro rotors with the Ford 4.5 bolt pattern.

If you still have the Dana44 rear under the '56, swap in a '57-'72 F-100 rear. They bolt right in and a Granada axle, backing plate and brake drum will fit and give you a 4.5 bolt pattern rear as well. A friend did this but I can't remember if it was the left or right Granada axle. The truck axles are the same length and the left car axle is shorter than the right.

Is $65 each too much to pay?

Are the rotors on this page? At $65 each, I will but for wheels with a chevy bolt pattern. Thank you though.
