Dont you know it. My old truck was great for around town stuff but if we wanted to take a drive to Lowe's or Home Depot, it got kind of cramped with the wife and 2 kids up front with me. Tilt, cruise, AC, CD, power seats and pedals, PW and DL, Triton V8....... I'm just loving it. It's too quiet though. Any suggestions?

Catback! Gibson has some nice setups for the price. If you plan on keeping the truck for a long while, you might want to look at the Borla systems. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com

Thanks for the suggestions on the exhaust but I always thought Gibson and Borla were a little pricey. quote: Originally posted by 67stang: AC CD? Never heard of them. Now AC DC on the other hand....
Well, Hell's Bells 67stang. I thought everyone had heard of AC CD. They're the half dyslexic band from up over.....

LOL, good comeback! Borla is a pricy system, they're all stainless steel and about $650, but Gibsons are aluminized with a stainless tip and about $250 the last time I checked. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Please remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, Osborn Reproductions, MyFordPerformance.com, and FordRamAir.com

Nice. Check out the Gibson cat-back. There's a multitude of chips out there. Go for a tonneau cover, hard or soft. Then you won't feel like you're pulling a water skier. (outside of performance modifications, a tonneau gives you the most bang fo the buck, imho). I took mine down to my father in law's place in Jonesborough, TN. last weekend without the cover to pick up a lawn tractor, a huge engine crane, and an engine stand. Dead-heading down there, along the Blue Ridge, you could really tell the difference. ------------------ -Paul 70 Mach1 351C 79 Ranchero GT 97 Expedition XLT 5.4 00 SVT f150 Lightning 4149 of 4966 Born on: 06/26/2000 'life's tough... it's tougher if you're stupid.' A hard cover is definately on my list. I'm going to take the bed liner out and have a Rhino color match lining sprayed on. All of the Gibson exhaust is side exit and I'm looking for rear exit dual. May just take it to my muffler man and let him do it. Can I get a chip or do I need a reprogrammer? Any recommendations? The truck is an '02 with the 4.6 V8.

I would do my homework on the chip. From what I have read is that most issues are with the suppliers not the chip themselves. With a 4.6 you may be limited. The first place to check would be one of the sponsors of this fine web site. You do need to have a performance goal in mind whether it be a tire-melting beast or to enhance fuel mileage. Do you want to chance causing warrantee issues by diddling with a chip?Don't forget the KISS stuff like performance air filters and stuff like that. You never said if it was a auto or manual.------------------ -Paul 70 Mach1 351C 79 Ranchero GT 97 Expedition XLT 5.4 00 SVT f150 Lightning 4149 of 4966 Born on: 06/26/2000 'life's tough... it's tougher if you're stupid.'

That's good advice about the warranty Paul - Thanks. It's an '02 with auto. It's an XLT but not Lariat. The Lariat actually does away with the chrome mirrors and front bumper. You're right, keahi. It does POP! Beautiful. Hard cover, some nicer wheels and dual exhaust and I will definately be groovin' and cruzin'...
