With the key at the on position without the engine running, the oil pressure gauge goes to about 3/4 up the scale. Does this sound like the sender or gauge? It's in MrsMule's 97 Expedition (5.4L)

Has it always done that? GM gauges float like that when the cars are off.

never noticed. it does go to the bottom with the key off.
