The t-stat in KK's truck is stuck open. It looks like it should be a pretty easy fix, but I just wanted to make sure there wasnt any unforeseen problem I might hit before I get started. With the lows getting into the 30's, and the t-stat stuck open, the truck never really warms up, and the heater is lucky if the air it blows is lukewarm. I figure that is the problem, withthe truck stone cold,(it hadnt been run in 4 days) I pulled the radiator cap and started the truck. The water was rushing thru the radiator right away. I fugre the t-stat is stuck open or the water would not have been moving so fast so soon. Does that sound like a reasonable deduction?

Sure does. Also, you can feel the exact time the thermostat opens by feeling the upper radiator hose. It won't be hot until it opens. If it warms up right away, the stat is stuck open. If the heater never gets warm, the heater core may need a backflush. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 Be sure to remember our sponsors, Mustangs Plus, NPD, and Osborn Reproductions.

I pulled the old 'stat out, it was stuck wide open. I replaced, hopefully that will take care of the lack of heat problem.
