My wife's 2000 Explorer decided to take a crap. It was flaring up on the 2-3 upshift,so I brought it to the dealer. He found a blown valvebody gasket. The problem stems in the valve body, though, which is a non servicable part,so it needs to be replaced.

"Don,tell him what he's won! "

I won a nice $900-$1000 repair bill! Damn women,why can't they just drive a 74 F100?

I located a 79 F-250 2WD in mint condition for $5600,and it as looking awful tempting right now!

Did you try to talk the service advisor into warranteeing it? Bring the girls with you and ask them to look real sad.

Im losing that lovin' feelin' . . . my 2000 F350 is about to roll 36k and out of warrantee. Up to now its been little things I have had the dealer fix . . .

And I just got a revised jacking procedure from Ford. The torque spec on the lug nuts have been revised UP.

Stay tuned for more . . .

If you can still get the ESP,I would consider it. That Diesel will beat you to death with repair bills. Don't diesels have a 6/100k powertrain warranty anyway?
