Every time I park the bronco a puddle of power steering fluid forms underneath. The weird ting is I cannot track it down. The power stewering pump is fine, it doesn't even whine. The lines are okay except for the one with the sensor on it, it seems wet constantly, but not enough to cause the puddles that form, and theres no fluid on top of the box. The only thing I can see is that there is some pretty heavy duty seepage from the back of the steering box, where it bolts up to the framerail. Could it be that the box is cracked behind the framerail? I'm going to try replacing the line with the sensor on it first but I was just wondering if anybody else had problems with this kind of leak. By the way, it's anm 87 bronco 5.0. Thanks.dave

Odd. They usually leak from the seal at the Pitman arm or the input shaft seal. Most people just get one from the junkyard. They are a bolt in from 80-96 4wd F150's and Broncos. If you don't mind swapping pitman arms, you can use them from F250's, 91-4 Explorers, and any 82-95(I think 95)Rangers and Bronco II's. I forget what exact year the Rangers changed to rack and pinion. I got a nice clean one from a wrecked 95 F150 with 32,000 miles and dropped it in my 82 F100. Works great and only cost $65.

thats what I ended up doing, I got a pretty good deal on a box in one of the local salvage yards and threw it in. And lo and behold, the leak is gone dave
