So My Kennel help buys a used '92 F-150 with a 5 speed and a 5.0.with 196,000 KM. The duel fuel tanks seem to drain from one into the other . We found that there was a recall on the check valves so ford suposably fixed it last week . The front tank runs low on fuel (or so the gage says) so when the rear tank is switched on it runs thru the fuel quick, but when you switch back to the front tank it now has fuel? Did the check valves get fixed??????------------------ WAYNE CURTIS

It sounds like they didn't fix it. The control valve doesn't close completely from one tank to the other,so it lets fuel in the other tank.

So does each tank use the same supply and return fuel line???and the "check" valve stops the fuel from flowing in reverse? Thanks ------------------ WAYNE CURTIS

It was a brand new {aftermarket} one at a local radiator shop, and it went for $106,complete with a new spanner ring and seal. It was about 1 hour for me to put in.
