...would you recommend for a '78 F150 with a warmed over 302? I'm wondering if some sort of RV-type torque converter would be better than simply keeping the OEM converter... The rearend is currently an OE 2.75:1, but it may get pulled for a 3.00 or 3.25 gear in the future... A cam change will be to a "slightly lumpy" but not obnoxious hydraulic grind. This is a 'Sunday-local-car-show-type' of truck, no racing, no bad weather, maybe (but I doubt it) a small garden tractor size trailer some day.... I think it's a C-6......... Thanks for your advice,,,, Ryan

I think it would be nice, but honestly I wouldn't spend the money.------------------

The gear change will do more for you than the convertor will, and with less work.

Agreed. The C6 will be fine. Go with new gears and posi.------------------ -Eric SuperFord.org Admin '67 Galaxie | '00 Excursion | Ford Excursions Registry
