Correct me here if I am wrong, but aren't lifters supposed to a little convex at the bottom? I know the old lifters were damn near flat but I figured they were worn. But the new ones are also flat (damn near anyway).
Help me out here. Stop me from going insane (thats already happening by waiting for parts )
Is that what a flat tappet cam is? If so, I didn't know my truck had a flat tappet cam.

I don't think you have anything to worry about,Keith. They are a little convex on the bottom, but not enough to be overly appearant. Just be sure to put on a good assembly lube, and run the cam in when you first fire it up.

They are ground ever-so-slightly convex. Put two of the new lifters together foot to foot and you'll see it better.

Thats one of the reasons I posted, I did put two of them together and then another two and another two again. We're talking very very very slightly convex.
