Hey Ford Truck fans, I'm visiting from the Mustang forum......but I own a '96 F350 Crew Cab Diesel 4x4!!

I'm looking for a 460 emblem of some type for my '67 Stang which has a 460 in it. I thought perhaps someone could tell me if a Ford truck with a 460 ever had such a fender emblem.

Thanks fellow Ford fans!

Sorry,Brian,I can't recall any emblems. That type of stuff was reserved for the air cleaner lid on the trucks. Did you look in the FRPP catalog? They may have something, ala fox Mustang with a 7.6 emblem.

I don't think Ford ever had a 460 emblem for the trucks. I know that they used one on the Thunderbirds though. I am thinking around the early 70's maybe.

Good luck

Tom

Didn't the late 80s F-150 have engine displacement below the left headlight?

They had the XL,XLT or 4X4 badges there. The F-150 never came with a 460. It was only available 3/4 ton and up. The diesel badge was there too.

there were 460 1/2 tons in 79 or earlier. Not too many tho. Equal to the 454 Chev 1/2 tons.

I was almost thinking of a diesel for my 53 when i rebuild it... maybe a Cummins out of a Dodge... Ford owns Cummins don't they? And a grinder makes the "Dodge" on the valve cover disappear. It's impressive how much power they make and the mileage... even if a starter costs as much as a house
