Is the v-10 a good performing engine. I dont pull or haul much just looking for more go. Is there any warm up parts for them? How much trouble would it be to install in a 98 f-150 with a 4.2 in it.Is it worth it? thanks Lyle

From what I've seen and heard, it's a torque monster, but not really a hot rod engine. I'd also think it would be hell trying to put into your truck. I'd be interested in seeing that kind of swap though.

I'd say it would be really expensive, and technical since you'll need the V-10's electrics, and have to fab up an exhaust, with those engines coming from superdutys.

I have a foot of room in front of the engine and a foot on both sides. I could put it in ok It's the wires the dash etc that worry me.

The million $49.95 sensors would scare me.

You guys remember that au. V10 with the upsidedown roots type in a mustang? Looks like it has twin T.B. & almost 700hp?
It would be cool in a truck but I think you'd need a boatload of cash.

Just for s's & giggles, check out www.whipplesuperchargers.com for one of their
VERY efficient screw-compressor type kits for the V-10 and what they have to say about the perf increase.
