When I lived in Tucson, one of my friends had an old (50sumthin) F series truck on his property. It has Police Interceptor badging on it, which looks original. Actually the entire truck looks original. He said it was a present from his grandfather to his parents for a wedding gift. His grandfather is supposed to be the original owner, so his parents would be the second owners. My friend, who is the same age as me (25) said they used to drive it, but put it to pasture because of "family needs", although they will not sell it. I looked under the hood and it has a big block, but I am not very familiar with big blocks other than I can tell them from small blocks. I just wondered if any of you people have heard of such a beast. I was expecting a flathead under the hood, but it wasn't.

That's a new one on me. Maybe they pulled the badging off the car that the engine came in.

I doubt that Ford ever built any Police Interceptor trucks. But you never know. Maybe it was a special order for a county sheriff. The 332/352 was introduced in 1958 so only a 1958 or newer truck could have a "big block" FE series engine. And there were 352 Police Interceptors in 1958 in Full Size Ford cars. I've got an old magazine with a road test of an old Ford Police Interceptor (when it was new!). It might have been a 1958.But I doubt the truck is original. Thanks for the comments. The truck was a late 50's truck because it wasn't one of the earlier "fat fender" trucks. It was the square body style that came afterwards. I dunno, real or made up, it was all there, rust free, dent free, and supposedly still runs. I'd buy it if they would sell it.
