Hey guys,
Sorry about the infrequent posts but Im working 2 jobs and Im a full time college student. Theres a good chance this new job will be full time and good pay. If so I am definately gonna do some mods to my 92 F150.
First thing beside Flowmasters, I am gonna do a power chip. Was wondering what chip is about the best? As far as power gains(torque and HP). Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks
Hav2

I've heard conflicting reports on computer chips. Some have told me they are the best thing since sliced bread, others have told me they felt little, if any, improvement and feel like they wasted the money.

In theory they sound like they work, and chips manufacurers provide dyno and accelleration data.

I haven't put one on mine, yet. It seems to go pretty good already.

From what I have heard, Hypertech is only a wide open throttle chip. If it ain't floored, you aren't going to get anything, except less mpg.

Superchips seem to be the chip of choice for Ford trucks. Check out F150online.com for more on superchips. A lot of people over there have chips and one of the members is a superchips distributor.

I thought this was interesting: I was talking to a friend of mine that owns an '85 IROC with a 305.

He installed a Hypertech chip, and his ETs went from 15.2 to 15.4! Hypertech gave him his money back.

He also has a friend that installed a JET chip in a '86 305 IROC, and said he had no change at all.
