I've suddenly been hit with a passion for the 68 to 71 Lincoln Mark III's. What chassis are they based on or is it unique? Its actually a rather smallish car with that good ole 460 stuffed in it!!! I think this may be my next street car. Hot Rod Lincoln!!

In those years the Mark III shared the same chassis as the Thunderbird. I think they are really cool cars, too.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

They were unique to those two cars. That is what I thunk! There have been a couple for sale by me recently, and I started watching the internet on them. They really don't grab a whole lot of money. I like the low slung and gun slit window look + the big block. Once the Cat is up and flyin, this may be the way I go for a cruiser. But I will have to add a CD player so I can blast "Hot Rod Lincoln" everywhere I go!!!!!!!!!!

I always thought that the 71 T-Bird was the slickest of the 70's Birds.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
