any suggestions? I currently have a 302 stock and fmx trans. Im looking for MEAN street but daily drivable mpg not a issue.Can anyone see a prob w/ this swap?

Drop in swap.
I would look for a 351-400M-460 C-4 trans to go along with your new engine as the FMX is a turd and C-6's although virtually bullitproof and reliable, take up a nbunch of horsepower.

there is a c-4 for a big block??? I have a friend with a 351 c w/ a auto trans but no clue as to what ( we just have not looked) 1972 mustang. Any idea on power builds? I have heard you can make a 460 block a 429.is this true and is it worth the time?

Yes, there is a 385 series C-4 bell housing.

The only thing better than cubic inches, is more cubig inches!
