The wiring diagram in regards to the radio wiring harness specifically the color codes see this is what happened when I bought my 1979 Ranchero it came with an 8-Track tape player.
I had the radio replaced with a cheap Jensen (Recton) radio; the person who connected it made it so that it can be turn on even when the ignition is in the locked, accessories, and run positions I want to hook it up correctly because this is draining my battery.

I have the same problem w/a 79 Ranchero. I would love to know what wire goes where. I am reinstalling a Stock AM/FM
