HELLO, MY NAME IS BRIAN MILLER. I'M NEW TO THIS POSTING STUFF SO BEAR WITH ME IF I DON'T DO SOMETHING CORRECTLY....CAME ACROSS THIS FORUM WHILE LOOKING FOR SOME T-BOLT STUFF (MODEL CARS AND/OR DIECAST). FOUND INTERESTING INFO ON THE '65 T-BOLT. AM LOOKING FOR INFO ON A COUPLE OF MID 60'S GALAXIES. A GUY FROM CALIFORNIA NAMED MIKE SCHMITT (DESERT MOTORS) HAD 2 CARS, A WHITE '64 A/S AND A POPPY RED '66 B/FX CAR. LOOKING FOR INFO ON THE '66. PER FENDER LETTERING IT WAS A CAMMER BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE TRANNY WAS AND WAS IT SINGLE/DUAL FOUR BARREL OR WHAT? HAVE DECALS TO DO BOTH CARS BUT WANT TO HAVE CORRECT DRIVELINE INFO FOR THE '66. '64 APPEARS TO BE 427/4 SPEED. ALSO, THE HOEFER BROS. HAD A '65 C/FX GALAXIE WITH (PER HOOD MARKINGS) A 289. THINK IT MAY HAVE HAD WEBERS AND MAYBE A 4 SPEED? DON'T KNOW THE COLOR EITHER. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME? THANKS TO ALL.

I remember seeing several Ford F/X type cars at Continental Divide Raceway one Sunday. The Hoefer brothers C/FX car was one of them. It has been a loooooong time since the mid sixties but I am sure the C/FX car had webers and a four speed. I remember it as white but my memory for color is really bad. I pay much more attentiion to the mechanical stuff.John

HEY, THANKS TO ALL FOR THE INFO. I HAVE A "FORD THE PERFORMANCE YEARS" VOL.1 WHICH HAS A PICTURE OF THE HOEFER CAR (B&W), ALSO, PHIL HALL'S BOOK "FEARSOME FORDS" HAS A PICTURE (ALSO B&W). CAR LOOKS LIKE A DARK COLOR BUT THIS CAN BE DECEIVING. BACK AROUND 99-2000 THERE WAS A "CONSUMER GUIDE TO MUSCLE CARS" BOOK THAT CAME OUT THAT HAD THE ONLY COLOR PICTURE I KNOW OF MIKE SCHMITT'S B/FX CAR AND IT WAS POPPY RED (KIND OF BRIGHT ORANGE, ALSO PER AUTO COLORS CODE BOOK, SAME AS CALYPSO CORAL, VERMILLION, AND MERC'S COMPETITION ORANGE). ALL OF THE B&W PICTURES OF THE MIKE S CAR LOOK KINDA DARK (GUESS THATS THE WAY THE COLOR SHOWS UP IN B&W.) ANYWAY, AGAIN THANKS FOR THE INFO. I'M PRETTY CONFIDENT ABOUT THE DRIVELINE IN BOTH CARS. BY THE WAY,(AND I LEFT THIS IN THE MODEL SECTION TOO) THERE WILL BE A LIMITED RUN OF THE OLD AMT 65 FALCON ALTERED WHEEL BASE (FUEL INJECTED CAMMER) CARS RELEASED. THE ONE PLACE I KNOW THAT WILL HAVE THEM IS FRED'S MODEL WORLD. THESE ARE BIG BUCKS ON EBAY AND HE SAID HIS TARGET PRICE IS GONNA BE $15 +S&H. ANYWAY, THANKS AGAIN AND IF YOU CAN POST THOSE PICTURES, PLEASE DO. TAKE CARE AND A SAFE HOLIDAY TO ALL. BRIAN

The AFX Galaxie formereoy owned by Mike Schmitt was owned by a guy in Black Diamond Washington. (Don't remember his name off hand) He raced the car in Super Stock eliminator the mid 1970's. We raced him one year at Seattle International Raceways, wasn't much of a race. Our SS/N Galaxie was running well under the class index, his AFX car was running the same as it did when he bought it from Schmitt. I will try to get more info on the car. Bill

The Galaxie formerely owned by Mike Schmitt was owned by Darwin Glazier from Black Diamond Washington. I was told he sold it some years ago.
