Can somebody tell me what car this part came from, C0AA-8A080-N, it's a little radiator tank from what I think is a full size Ford. What years was this part used, what cars, and what engine. TIA------------------ Gary M couple of '46 Ford trucks, '57 Fairlane, & '70 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof

It's been a lot of years so I may be wrong. I remember my 60 Starliner equipped with a 352 engine had a little tank separate from the radiator. I think they used that set-up for several years on the full size cars. Now someone who knows for sure either affirm this or tell me I am having another senior moment. John

Correct. It is an expansion tank. If you will notice, they were used when FORD went to the cross-flow radiator and this tank was used in lieu of an opening on one of the radiator tanks. C0AA denotes 1960 FORD.The same system is used today but it is called a de-gas tank. [This message has been edited by KULTULZ (edited 06-24-2004).]
