Hey guys, I need some advice, there is a 64 Galaxie for sale close by, it is a 390 car with a C-6, air conditioned and 99% rust free, the only rust I found was around the drip rails and rear window chrome (no holes).
Floors and trunk are clean and solid. This car is daily driven and recently made a trip to Daytona (Turkey Run) and a Christmas trip to Pigeon Forge Tn.
All this car needs is some polishing (paint is in fair shape) and cleaning and a couple of very minor mechanical repairs.
The drawback, it's turquoise with a white top and turquoise interior, 15x8 steel wheels painted turquoise with poverty caps.

Any thoughts on the value of this car?? I need to know your opinions pretty quick or this one will be gone. Thanks.

That sounds like one I saw at the AutoCrusade last August.

I thought it was a sharp car and well worth what was asked for it at the time.

Dwayne, it probably is the same one, Art and Sherry seem to go to a lot of cruise ins and shows, I've run into them every time I went to the Canton cruise among others. They just bought a new home and are making 2 mortgage payments, the Galaxie and a 91 Mustang GT are for sale.
I hinted around about their 65 fastback and thought Sherry was going to shoot me.

They did reduce the price on the Galaxie a bunch. I need to make a decision and then find a place to keep it. IF I buy it, I will be reselling it, hoping to make a little profit on it.

Well, I've decided to pass this one up, the money I would use to buy it is money for a garage, I'm planning to build one this year and buying that car would kill that. I really want a garage or this car would have come home with me last night.

If any of you are interested I'll be glad to give out his phone number.

He was asking $6500 and told me he would let it go for $5000, a bargain in my opinion.
You could fly in to Atlanta and drive it home, it is dependable enough that he hauls his young kids on long trips in it. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it across the country.

I really believe a cash offer of $4500 would take it home. He seems to be getting a little nervous about the old home not selling yet.

I snoozed and I losed.
He took it to a swap meet Saturday, I went to check it over again with the intention of driving it home, even took someone to drive my truck home, he sold it as I was walking toward it.
He got a good price for it, $5300.
If I had bought it early last week I could have turned a $800 profit in less than a week.

Oh well, I did make a purchase in the parts building, a set of 15x7 Torque Thrust D wheels new in the boxes for $500, couldn't drive them home though.
