On my 59 Meteor, I`d kinda like to keep the steel rim/dogdish hubcap look, but I would really like some wider 15" rims for the rear. Did any of the full size Fords ever come with a 15x7 or 8" wide steel rim, with the 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern? I though prehaps a station wagon may, but I have no idea for sure.Thanks------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker 302 5speed. 13.04@101mph 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

The 70/71 TORINO and MUSTANG came through with either 14x7 or 15x7 (special order) steel wheels that had center caps and trim rings.-Early Wheels-

15x7 wheels are hard to find {Boss Mustang} but the 14x7's are plentiful. The problem with 14's are tire size, the limit is 225/70 or 245/60,unless you are willing to go bias ply.

I have a buddy that is a '57 freak. He wanted to do the same thing, have reversed steel wheels that would accept the '57 center caps and shaped trim rings (used to be available from CAL-CUSTOM before they went off-shore) that are available from Early Wheel. I was working in a FORD parts room (early eighties?) and ordered him the last four in existence as they went obsolete (I believe I had one in stock and the others came from dealers across the country stuck with them). I believe he still has two but his son ruined the other two while racing his '61 STARLINER. If you get lucky at a swap meet; D0OZ 1007-A 15 X 7 on a 4 1/2" circle D0OZ 1007-B 14 X 7 on a 4 1/2" circle
