The guy who owned it said that it would light up the tires at any speed below 80 mph
I had a sign on the windshield with a LONG list of engine and tranny modifications.

A guy I know bought that car about 6 months ago, I heard through unreliable sources he paid 12K for it then turned it for a nice profit about 3 weeks later.

Yep , the car was for sale when I saw it and hr was asking around $12,500 for it
You can hardly see it in the photos but the car had a teardrop "bubble" hood scoop that was the only thing that gave it away as not being stock.
