My Papa-in-law just bought a 63 1/2 Galaxie (see thread in Sam's Place)

It's got a 429 that suposedly began life in a '70 Ranchero GT. How do I ID the motor? He hasn't taken delivery just yet, so I can't provide any casting numbers. On the subject of casting numbers, where will I find them on that motor?

The casting numbers will be on the right side of the block, just above the starter.

The secret of success is sincerity. Once you can fake that, you got it made.
