My Papa-in-law just bought a 63 1/2 Galaxie (see thread in Sam's Place) It's got a 429 that suposedly began life in a '70 Ranchero GT. How do I ID the motor? He hasn't taken delivery just yet, so I can't provide any casting numbers. On the subject of casting numbers, where will I find them on that motor?

The casting numbers will be on the right side of the block, just above the starter.------------------
