What do you guys think...I've got a chance at a 71 Lincoln MKIII 2 door, 460, sunroof, leather etc., about 40,000 miles, stored in a warehouse last decade or so, guy will take $4,500 for it. Cant find a hint of rust, only obvious probem is leaky transmision seal. Am i crazy or is that a good deal?? Maybe i'm just FORD crazy...

Here are the current values on that car. http://www.vmrintl.com/cctm/coll_frame.htm About $3500 for a #3,$5800 for a #2.[This message has been edited by MLariviere (edited 03-17-2002).]

I'd say that would depend on how much you like it. A car like that may not be as easy to resell as a more mainstream car. But if you like it, then $4500 is a great price for an older car in good shape.------------------

Pretty much talked myself out of it. since talking to the owner, i think i could get it for less, but i think i'd be better off getting this 73 vert finished. Would'nt have any place to put it anyway. But, dang it, it's SUCH a cool car...
