Is the axle flange of a '65 Galaxie 9" housing the "Large Ford" or the "Large Ford, New Style"? When did they change? ------------------

Could be large, could be small. Depends on the engine it came with. It is the old style. Changeover was in the early 70's circa late 1971.  ------------------

PS, late style can be indentified by a two piece axle bearing with a race that is pressed into the housing. ------------------
