I love oddball cars! A guy from Bremerton Wash. used to come to the Ford drags with a factory 428 66 LTD 4dr hardtop. Thats no too unusual, but it was a factory benchseat 4 speed. It was gray with a black vinyl top. A buddy of mine (many years ago), parted out a 70 or 71 Torino Squire station wagon, white with the woodgrain, it was a 429 SCJ, auto, with a shaker scoop. Back then he just wanted it for the shaker, & the D00E-R heads, as he had a 70 Torino GT with a N code 429 thunderjet, 4 speed with the GT dummy scooped hood. He still has the 4 bolt main 429 block, & the "R" servo`d C6 from the wagon, but the rest was junked.I`ve never seen another one like that. There was also a couple of cool Ranchero`s around here, a 70 Ranchero 500, 429 SCJ, 4 speed, shaker, yellow with a black bench seat interior. All stock with non power steering, oil cooler,& rev limiter all intact. A friends nephew owns a 69 Ranchero GT with a 428 CJ, 4 speed, painted Indian Fire(looks like cinnamion)------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed

Now THAT is a neat story! I'm surprised he gave that car up! "...write this guy at Ford..." that is something that makes the car very special, in my opinion!I love it! Stewart

Yeah, it is!!Having a special car is sweet, but having a special car with it's own "story" is very sweet! Makes it just that much more cool! Pride in ownership...gotta love the Blue Oval! Stewart
