1967 7 Litre Galaxies? I know that they were built, but I have only seen one in my entire life. Any links available? Thanks Alex------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator Fleet of FoMoCo's too long to list! http://superstockers.homestead.com/week.html

Thanks Steve. They mention the 67 7 Litre briefly, but have no pictures of one. Great page and link though. Alex------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator Fleet of FoMoCo's too long to list! http://superstockers.homestead.com/week.html

Hey guys, I know where an all original (but rusty) 427 Galixie convertable is. This car would need a lot of work but would it be worth it?------------------ Jay Kilroy 68' Fastback GT 390 "No such thing as a cam thats too big"

Close Mikey. The 7 Liter was a sport coupe body just like Bob's, but it came with buckets and a 428 "Q" code engine. Alex------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator Fleet of FoMoCo's too long to list! Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

Alex, according to my "Standard Catalog of Ford, 1903 - 1990" the 7-litre was not available as an option in 1967. The optional engines were 200hp/289, 275hp/390 and 315hp/390. But get this! "Ford engines....Same as 1966. However, a tunnel-port 427 was available as an over-the-counter kit, with tunnel-port intake on special cylinder heads and special intake manifold." You couldn't order it from the factory, but you could buy it from the parts department. Cool!Dave

Jay, I'll have to dig out my back issues of "Mustangs and Fords". Some of the "Rare Finds" articles talk about '67 427 Galaxies and how rare (and real) they are. If I remember correctly the articles said less than 10 427 convertibles were known to be built. I would say it is worth it.Tracy

The book is wrong. It's well documented that many many 428 and 427 Galaxies were built in 1967. The 7 Liter was still available for 1967 as I have one for certain.
