I have the oppurtunity to buy a very nice 65 Fairlane 2 door HT from my brother for $2500. It now has a good running 289, but I'd like to go to a 460. Is this doable, and if so, where do I get the mounts and things? Crites? Thanks

I would start with Crites. If anybody has a kit it would be them. I haven't looked into swaps like this in a while but Crites has done this for quite a few years.

It'll be very tight, and possibly you'll have to notch the towers or remove the and go with a Mustang II front end.

Crites makes the headers and mounts and tower notching kit. It's actually a fairly common swap but requires welding and a bit of work.

Will I have to do the same work to fit the 460 in the 66 as you stated in the 67.
