Has anyone purchased a restoration guidline book for these cars?

I just ordered one on E-bay...as Auto Krafters was currently out of stock.

I would like to hear the opions of those whom have bought and used them.

Thanks , Allen

I haven't seen any...who puts them out? I do have a booklet where some guy goes over what he did to a 72 Ranchero. It is a little vague, and it looks like it was printed on a copier at his place of work.

I'm not sure of the Publisher or the Writer on these books...but a few different sellers have had them available on E-bay over the course of the last 2 years.

I was going to buy one in person from Auto-Krafters last month at the Auto Fair at Lowes Motor Speedway..but the dullards forgot to bring them. I did however get a free copy of thier Torino / Fairlane and Cyclone Catalog

For those whom might consider buying one of these Books on E-bay...a word of Caution. They usually sell for anywhere from $27.99 to $30.00. The real catch is in the "Flat Rate Shipping Fees" So be carefull whom you buy from , as the sale price is not the whole issue with some of these characters.

My order for this book as well as a Parts Interchange Book (1968-71) is on its way...I will post my review of it all , once I get a chance to get into it.

Got the books today.

(1) Title Classic Muscle Car Restoration Guides (Subject) Ford Torino GT and Mercury Cyclone
(1a) Guide to Authenticity for Fairlane , Fairlane 500 , Cobra and Mercury Cyclone 1968-1971

Author Carl Eden
Published by PAH Publishing
Year Published 2004

So far my views are mostly favorable..as the data seems to be very accurate from a historical perspective as well as a technical one.

The book includes 1000 illustrations , of which most are copies from actual Ford Manuals (Quality of illustraitions is OK at best.

Overall...I see this book as a good resource on technical and historical background..and parts interchange information

Purchasing tips. Go to E-Bay and take a "Buy It Now" Price of $27.97.

E-Bay Seller Name -- parob

These folks will treat you fairly..and ship quickly. They will also combine shipping fees for multiple book purchases.

I strongly suggest the added purchase of a second book from this seller

Here's another tip: You can buy those books cheaper through the M&M Bookstore and support this web site at the same time.

For example, Paul Herd's interchange manual is $16.47, instead of the $24.95 as listed above.

These would qualify for free shipping, too.
