Ive had a C6 trans for a while and cant remember what I pulled it from. I think it was a 67 Fairlane but I cant remember what model car it was and whether or not it was a floor shift or a column shift trans. This is what the tag reads,
PGA L
005046
Car was a 2dr 390 car with a 9 and thats all I can remember. I know the 68 manual has codes but I dont have a book for 1967.

This is what the shift lever looks like!

Is it a floor shifter trans or one for a column shifter?

Floor shift, I believe. If I remember right, the shift arm for the column shift would be at the 7 o'clock position.

I have a manual I can look up that PGA-L number, I just have to find it...

I just looked at a picture I found from the trans that I got from a 69 Cougar and it is the same. The kickdown is about 180 different but that could be from the safety switch being removed and the lever just being stuck back on.

I found my manual, 1960-1973 Ford & Mercury Muscle Parts Identifier. PGA-L is a '67 floor shift C6 for 390 2V used in Galaxie and Mercury.
