Running an late 80's Mustang 8.8" under my 62 F'lane sport coupe & wondering if rear discs off a 96 Mustang with the 7.5" rear are a bolt on to the 8.8". I can get the whole rear disc set up for 150 bucks so its a great deal. I'm using Bronco 2 5 lug axles.
thanks in advance

Kinda don't think so, i think the 96 axles stick further out of the housing. The Bronco2 probably protrudes 2 1/2" from axle face to housing flange where backing plate bolts to. You can check the 96 by measuring down from the front face of the rotor to the back face of the caliper mount.

By the way that 80's Mustang rear is quite wide, an inch each side wider than the already too wide stock 8". If you used two right side Bronco2 axles and shorten the housing to fit them it would allow normal offset wheels.

They do actually fit but as you say the Bronco 11 axles protrude further out of the housing end i think because of the original ABS set up, Ford must have moved the stock axle bearing surface inboard or made it a much longer contact area. So, measuring it looks like the axle bearing surface is right at the end of the bearing, not good!!
I'm thinking the only fix is grinding the two humps off at the calper mounting holes to move the calper/rotor & hence the axle inboard or adding an 1" or 2 to the housing end to move the bearing to match the axle bearing surface outboard.
I'm following this set up exactly as a buddy has done this swap at Woodys Gt site without any problems , unless, he hasn;t driven far enough yet for bearing failure!!

Remember Roger I do own a machine shop. I made sure the bearings rode where they need to be.I did start off with Turbo Coupe rear end so it already had the caliper mounts welded to it. That could be the difference.

There you are, yes, i;m thinking the turbo coupe rear caliper brackets must be slightly different, i may just bite the bullet & chase down a turbo coupe rear that;s in the buy & sell
