Fastback Nation Gearhead Posts: 124 From: San Diego, CA USA Registered: Aug 2004	posted 08-19-2004 05:38 PM I'm drilling out a set of 8-bolt FE heads to the 14-bolt exhaust pattern to put on my 390 in my mustang S-code car. Do the holes that go thru the bosses go all the way thru? How deep do the other holes go? I don't want to drill thru into a water or oil passage. IP: Logged

Most likely, someone is going to have to take an old head and take measurements. Not all of the holes are the same depth. And again, it may vary with the 390GT, 428CJ or 427 head.
