global west arms are not available for the 66 fairlane, so they say, well on the site it is available for the 66 ranchero, i called them they say its a bit different on the towers, i was like hmmm. anyhow i just got the arms in on my 66 fairlane and you have to kut the washers and weld some beads on the washers to make it fit flush with the tiny step on the inside side(engine bay side). i just took some oil and paper to mark the area so i could weld the washers in the right places as you dont want the whole area welded, then hand filed for proper step height. and held in place while tightening. and your are done, i also had to propane torch the towers and ball peen em for clearance but barely! just thought i would share these facts, i have pics so e me terelli@hotmail should you want them.
