Has anyone seen any data/info on the 13 63 Fairlane "Lightning Bolts"?

You mean the Tasca car.I think they had 406 in them to start. I also think it was 1962 and ran A/FX. In 1963 Tasca received another DST prepared Fairlane this time with a 427. This car was loaded with Fiberglass and was the Model for the 64 Thunderbolts...Geoff

NO Geoff, not the Tasca 62.
The 13 289 HP powered 63.5 Fairlane drag cars.

Alex, Where these cars actually called " Lightening Bolts " or is that the term thats been applied to them. Can you provide any info on these cars. I'll ask around some of my Ford friends....Geoff

They were indeed called "Lightning Bolts".
I have heard of a few from time to time and one went through Barett Jackson 3 years ago.
All I have heard is that they were 63 Fairlane base 2 door sedans that were specially prepped by "someone" for drag racing.
289 HP 4 speed and traction bars is all I know for sure.
There is another one in Hemmings. That's what brought it to my attention again.
