When you push the horn ring (62 F'lane) there is a knob/spring thing in a tube that makes contact & your horn sounds.
It actually looks like a brush from a generator, anyway i can;t find this part. I'm thinking that other Ford cars used the same set up, does anyone know where to get this part and/or what other Ford/years may have it.

The FORD Service Part No. you need is;

C2OZ 13A821-A
Horn Brush And Insulator Repair Kit

The same brush assembly was used on;

62/64 Fairlane
63 (HDTP and CONV only)/64 Falcon
63/64 Ford
64/66 Bird
65 Mustang (with generator)

It shouldn't be that hard to find.

Thanks very much.
Now if i can just find a guy to make me a croosmember to bolt up a rack to i'll be a happy camper.
I read an article in an old Custom rodder, this shop built a simple bolt in crossmember & mounted a cavalier rack & pinion steering set up, a couple of Borgeson(spelling) joints and according to them the end result was simply an amazing difference in handling, steering.
The total cost was $450.00 bucks!!
I've actually called the shop in L.A. to see if they have the crossmember measurements to see if its applicalbe to Fairlanes but no answer.
Other than springing for a pre-fabbed big buck rack & pinion system has anyone thought about doing this?
