Asking for a friend....

What is the largest 60-series tire that will fit all four corners of a '73 Torino on 15"x7" American Torq-Thrust D's??

You are limited by the wheels more than the car. I think 255/60/15s are the biggest I'd put on 15x7s.

His wheels are 14x7s, and I think he has 235/70 in front and 245/70 in the rear.

Thanks Steve.

Just remembered! I know of some 15"x8" Magnums in the area... What would be the largest on those? (He likes the Torq-Thrusts though...)

I have 15x8s on the back of my truck and my 275/60s fit perfect on them, and I bet I could even use 295/60s.

My tires are 235/60/14 front,245/60/14 rear. I have a mile of room on the back.

According to a Torino handling book I've got,255/60/15 is the biggest you can go in front. He says anything bigger will rub inside at full turn. As for the rear, the sky is the limit. I've see a car with 295/50/15's on the back on a 10" rim,fit perfect under the wheelwell! You may even get away with 325's.

I do want to get some 15x8 Magnums and put some tire under it.

My brother has a 73 Torino. He is running 245/60's in front with 275/60's in back. Wheel sizes are 15x8 in front and 15x10 in back. Looks tough!

I've seen our Torinos{72-76} with 325/50's on them. They stick out about 1".
