Take a look at eBay # 1836570914It was Fate! The last 6 digits in the VIN of my 79 Ranchero GT are 157914. All contained within that eBay number, and in sequence! And when I got the Ranchero early last month, it had the same EXACT mileage of 40220! With a little attention to the paint, etc, the LTD II will be a very beautiful car. ------------------ David "Lean on me. I am just another dumb fence post." 1978 LTD II 2 Door 1979 Ranchero GT

My first new car was a '79 LTD II with the "Sport Appearance Package" (midnight blue with a white sort-of Starsky and Hutch stripe). Those cars have a really nice shape to them... good, clean lines.------------------ Everybody hates me just because I'm paranoid... Yeah. It was a three element tape stripe that kind of emulated the S&H stripe. It was white with an orange and red border, a little "II" on the c-pillar, and there was a stripe that outlined the raised center of the hood and front facia. It had a 351M with a C4, a/c, gauges, buckets and the handling suspension. I had dual exhaust added from the cats back (2 cats on this thing). Like I said, this one wasn't a very good car... but it sure looked good to a 17 year old... and I kind wish I had it back (nostalgia is hell!) ------------------ Everybody hates me just because I'm paranoid... Yeah! Beautiful car! That is the LTD II Sport model.Mine is the type with the small opera window and vinyl half roof. But I don't mind. I really like it, anyway. I just won a Grant GT mahogany steering wheel for it, which closely matches the woodgrain on the dash, on eBay, # 1840473695. With luck, the horn will work when I get it installed! ------------------ David "Lean on me. I am just another dumb fence post." 1978 LTD II 2 Door 1979 Ranchero GT
