i'm looking to buy a '68 fairlane 500gt, but the weatherstripping on the windows is basically GONE, and the windows move around from side to side. would that be fixed if i replaced the weatherstripping? if so, where can i find some. if i can find some for a reasonable price i might buy the car. thanks

If you are looking for the window channel, also try jc whitney. That is where i am going to order the window channel for the rear windows of my 64 fairlane.

Doesn't their's come in a roll,ie. universal fit? Wouldn't it be hard to fit some corners right? [This message has been edited by MLariviere (edited 05-06-2002).]

hey, i have a 68 fairlane, and the same thing happened to me. if the whole window it self moves then the window isnt set in the channel if thats what your getting at.. it will just need to be re-set with some special glue... my mechanic did it for me, so i dont know the whole procedure. anyway, hope this helps. if you havent bought the car, mine is for sale....Jace
