I'm sure some of you may have seen me post this on some other Fairlane related sites and I hope you don't mind but I'm posting this for those who may not have seen it."Recently I inquired about a raffle to win a 1966 Fairlane to the "Community Hospice & Home Care Services, INC. - of Westland, Michigan". I called the number I found and contacted Heather Murray. After making arrangements to purchase a few tickets we got to discussing how the raffle was going. Currently ticket sales are very slow. I mentioned that I was a member of the Fairlane Club of America and how I might be able to pass on the word to many members and possibly boost their ticket sales. Anyhow I just thought it might be a nice gesture to help these folks out with their cause and possibly win a 1966 Fairlane to boot! They do not have the power of a web site to help them out. I'll list the link to my web site home page below as well as the direct link to the raffle page that I made. Raffle Links: http://www.geocities.com/fairlaniac (My home page, look at the top of the page for the raffle link) http://www.geocities.com/fairlaniac/raffle (direct link to raffle page) Thanks, Doug Bender ------------------ Doug 1966 Fairlane 428 8V MR

Many folks have inquired about the raffle for the 1966 Fairlane, see http://www.geocities.com/fairlaniac/raffle.html for details. Many folks seem concerned that there may be a 50/50 cash raffle instead of the Fairlane being given away. While this still is the possibility, I have been told that if they sell in the neighborhood of 5,000 tickets, the Fairlane WILL be given away. This is great news as they were hoping to sell 10,000 tickets. Though selling 10,000 tickets would be great for their organization, this has proven to be a very lofty goal. Ticket sales are reportedly low and hopefully this news will increase the sales towards 5,000.Thanks, ------------------ Doug 1966 Fairlane 428 8V Tunnel Wedge

Sorry for the delayed response, been on vacation. I've actually asked the blunt question a few times but the answer I'd like has been evaded. I trust the folks at the Hospice Center and think the reason why I do not get a direct response is because sales are low (I think enough to give the car away) and they'd like to have people keep on buying tickets until the end. That's all I've got.------------------ Doug ( Fairlaniac ) 1966 Fairlane 428 8V Tunnel Wedge http://www.geocities.com/fairlaniac
