I see a Torino off the highway for sale on my way to work in mid Missouri. Haven't stopped to look at it yet. It looks good from the road, but we all know how that goes. It's a bright yellow color which would show rust well I think, but I haven't noticed any. Don't know what year it is exactly, but it looks like Mike L's (nice car btw ). What should I look for if I decide to stop and inspect it, besides the obvious rust, leaks, etc.?

The weak spots on these cars{72-76} is at the rear torque box, where the lower control arms connect to the frame. The earlier Torino/Fairlanes were unibody, built like Mustangs. The torque boxes{front and rear} and the cowls are weak on them. 70/71 cars were known for weak rear leaf springs, and leaky p/s slaves. The newer they are,the cheaper the car will be!
